ADVANCING TOGETHER: PROSPECTS 5.0 GENERAL ASSEMBLY IN MODENA |
| On 7–8 May 2025, the PROSPECTS 5.0 consortium met in Modena and Mirandola to take stock of progress and coordinate the next steps in implementing Industry 5.0 concepts across the project. The meeting featured two engaging workshops — one focused on the Assessment Framework and Use Case Implementation Plans, and another dedicated to mutual learning between use cases. These sessions created space for meaningful dialogue and cross-case exchange. Find out more about the discussions and insights shared during this productive two-day gathering: |

| | | PROSPECTS 5.0 PRESENTS USE CASE SPOTLIGHT: AMF SAFETY SHOES |
| In this exclusive interview, we asked our project’s consortium member and use case provider, AMF Safety Shoes (Portugal), to share their approach to integrating human-centric innovation in footwear production, discuss the progress made so far, and reflect on the challenges and lessons learned along the way. |

| | FROM VISION TO IMPLEMENTATION: Insights from the PROSPECTS 5.0 Workshop Series |
| In the first half of 2025, PROSPECTS 5.0 organised a two-part workshop series exploring how Industry 5.0 principles are being applied, challenged, and scaled across different industrial sectors in Europe. |
The first workshop, held online, focused on use case experiences and barriers to adoption — from skills shortages to integration with legacy systems — while highlighting the real-world benefits of Industry 5.0 technologies like predictive maintenance and AI tools. |
| The second workshop, held in Mirandola, Italy, addressed progress and long-term integration, with participants reflecting on how the Industry 5.0 Assessment Framework is shaping internal strategy and prioritisation. |

Across both sessions, one message was clear: Industry 5.0 is becoming a strategic lens for transformation, not just a compliance objective. External enablers such as policy support and customer expectations play a fundamental role, and continued collaboration is key. |

TESTING INDUSTRY 5.0 ASSESSMENT FRAMEWORK IN PRACTICE |
On 7 May 2025 the PROSPECTS 5.0 held an in-person workshop with use case partners to test and refine the Industry 5.0 Assessment Framework (I5.AF). The workshop aimed to explore how the framework can help companies assess their alignment with key Industry 5.0 principles — particularly human-centricity, sustainability, and resilience.Twelve PROSPECTS 5.0 use case companies took part in the workshop, contributing insights from their ongoing implementation of the I5.AF. Participants worked in three moderated groups, guided by two key questions: What difficulties have you faced in implementing the framework? What would help you succeed in its implementation?
Find out more about the workshop’s conclusions and next steps in the full article. |

CONFERENCE: ADVANCING INDUSTRY 5.0 |
On 16–17 June, the Advancing Industry 5.0 conference took place in Belgium, co-organised by EUWIN, BRIDGES 5.0, SEISMEC, and BROADVOICE. This EU-wide event brought together experts and initiatives shaping the future of human-centric, resilient industry.
PROSPECTS 5.0 was represented by Fabio Pini (UNIMORE), who contributed to the session “Employee Participation and the Transition to Industry 5.0” with a presentation of the Industry 5.0 Assessment Framework (I5.AF) — a tool developed within the project to support human-centric industrial transformation. |

PROSPECTS 5.0: FEATURED CONTRIBUTION |
We are proud to share that the poster “Measuring Industry 5.0: A KPI-Based Approach to Resilience, Sustainability, and Human Centricity” was awarded Best Poster at MESIC 2025 in Bilbao. Developed by partners from TECNALIA, UNIMORE, ZEUKO, and others, the work presents a multi-phase methodology to define and validate KPIs aligned with Industry 5.0 values. The framework was co-created through expert workshops, surveys, and testing in a logistics use case — offering actionable metrics for measuring human-centricity, sustainability, and resilience. |
