Welcome to the information letter prepared by the Horizon Europe PROSPECTS 5.0 project. The main goal of PROSPECTS 5.0 is to accelerate the transition to Industry 5.0 by enhancing the uptake of Industry 5.0 principles and practices by companies, local innovation ecosystems, SMEs/start-ups/scale-ups and industrial sectors. The aim of our regular newsletters is to update about the project progress, raise awareness about the benefits and opportunities of Industry 5.0, inform about relevant opportunities, announce project and external events, workshops, trainings, disseminate useful resources, as well as project outcomes. Its Industry 5.0 Community Trends and Status Report synthesizes insights from 879 studies, identifying sectoral trends, gaps, and emerging drivers. A multi-round Delphi survey, engaging 14 EU experts, captured regional and contextual perspectives on Industry 5.0 adoption. By bridging academic research and industry insights, the Report lays the foundation to shape policies, enhance skills, and foster acceptance of Industry 5.0. The Prospects 5.0 project presents the Preliminary Industry 5.0 Assessment Framework (I5.AF), that marks a significant milestone, summarizing the achievements of the project’s first year. It establishes a foundation for integrating human-centricity, environmental sustainability, and industrial resilience into industrial practices. Developed through a collaborative and iterative approach, the framework brings together insights from academic research, industry feedback, and stakeholder engagement. |

Our 14 validation workshops marked a key milestone in developing the Industry 5.0 Assessment Framework, one of the important outcomes of the PROSPECTS 5.0 project. Engaging 86 participants from diverse industries, the sessions validated KPIs and co-created a human-centric framework for sustainable transformation. |
