PROSPECTS 5.0 Showcases Industry 5.0 Assessment Tool in BRIDGES 5.0/EUWIN Webinar

The PROSPECTS 5.0 consortium continues to promote practical approaches for turning Industry 5.0 principles into action, presenting its Industry 5.0 Self-Assessment Tool during the BRIDGES 5.0/EUWIN webinar “Turning Industry 5.0 from Concept to Action” on 25 September 2026.

The webinar brought together organisations interested in moving from the broad ambitions of Industry 5.0 towards practical decisions and priorities for action. Anna Zmiievska and Simona Aceto from PROSPECTS 5.0, together with Giorgos Metaxiotis from AETHON, presented the project’s digital self-assessment platform for companies, business support organisations and public agencies.

The session introduced the assessment approach developed within PROSPECTS 5.0 and tested with 14 industrial use cases across different sectors and company sizes. The tool assesses three connected Industry 5.0 pillars: human-centricity, environmental sustainability and industrial resilience.

Participants explored how organisations can provide evidence against a structured set of indicators covering areas such as employee training, wellbeing and participation, energy use, circular product design, supply-chain risk and cybersecurity. The assessment also highlights areas where information is not yet measured, helping organisations identify potential blind spots and opportunities to improve monitoring and employee consultation.

The webinar also demonstrated how assessment results can support further action. Organisations receive an alignment score, showing how strongly Industry 5.0 is reflected in their strategy, and an implementation score, showing how far it is embedded in practice. Results are broken down by pillar and compared with sector peers.

The discussion also addressed the role of employee voice and participation in technology-related transformation, as well as the weighting of core and context-specific indicators. These exchanges highlighted the importance of combining measurable evidence with meaningful worker involvement and follow-up action.

The PROSPECTS 5.0 team is now developing complementary training modules, case examples and guidance for companies, intermediaries and policymakers to help organisations move from assessment towards a staged Industry 5.0 transition plan.
